Eufy’s Robovac has a unique way of letting you know when something has gone wrong and needs your attention: It starts to beep.
You may also notice a solid red or flashing red light.
Eufy Robovacs will begin beeping when they’ve encountered an error, such as a ledge they can’t navigate or a dirty sensor. The beeps help you locate the Robovac and indicate what problem they’ve run into. Count the number of beeps in order to determine how to fix the issue.
Here’s a breakdown of the most common issues and how to fix each one.
Eufy Beeping
Your Eufy Robovac will begin beeping if it encounters a problem that it needs your help with. You will need to count the number of beeps and check if the light on the RoboVac is solid red or flashing red, as this helps you determine what’s wrong.
Here’s what those beeps mean.
Eufy Beeping Once
Solid Red Light
If your RoboVac’s light is solid red and it beeps once, it means that one of the wheels has gotten stuck. Turn your RoboVac off and remove any debris that has gotten stuck in the wheels.
Flashing Red Light
If your RoboVac’s light is flashing red and it beeps once, it means that the drop sensors are dirty and you will need to wipe them off with a clean rag.
Eufy Beeping Twice
Solid Red Light
If your RoboVac’s light is solid red and it beeps twice, it means that the side brush on your RoboVac has gotten stuck. Turn the RoboVac off and clean out the side brush, taking care to remove any pet hair or other debris.
Flashing Red Light
If your RoboVac’s light is flashing red and it beeps twice, it means that your RoboVac has run out of power. Carry it to the charging station and let it charge for at least 5-6 hours before using it again.
Eufy Beeping Three Times
Solid Red Light
If your RoboVac’s light is solid red and it beeps three times, it means that the rolling brush has gotten stuck. Turn off your RoboVac and clean out the rolling brush, making sure to remove any debris or hair that may be there.
Flashing Red Light
If your RoboVac’s light is flashing red and it beeps three times, it means that your RoboVac thinks that it’s trapped or stuck on a ledge. This can sometimes happen on uneven flooring. Simply pick up the RoboVac and move it somewhere else, then start it again.
Eufy Beeping Four Times
Solid Red Light
If your RoboVac’s light is solid red and it beeps four times, it means that your RoboVac’s bumper has gotten stuck. Eufy suggests tapping the bumper several times to knock loose debris that may be stuck under it.
Flashing Red Light
If your RoboVac’s light is flashing red and it beeps four times, it means that the suction fan has gotten stuck. Turn your RoboVac off, then empty the dust collector and check the suction inlet for any hair or other debris that may be blocking it.
Eufy Beeping Five Times
Solid Red Light
Eufy does not have an error where you will hear it beep five times and see a solid red light. Instead, the red light should be flashing if it’s beeping five times.
Flashing Red Light
If your RoboVac’s light is flashing red and it beeps five times, it means that the infrared sensor (located on the bumper) is dirty. You will want to grab a clean, dry cloth and wipe the bumper before restarting your RoboVac.
Eufy Beeping Ten Times
There’s no error that should cause your Eufy to beep ten times, so what may be happening is that the beeps are running together or something else has gone wrong.
Try turning off your RoboVac, waiting 15 seconds, then turning it back on. If the beeping resumes, count them and refer to the list above to see what the issue is.
If it’s still beeping an irregular number of times (more than five times), try wiping down your RoboVac with a dry cloth and check to make sure there is no debris stuck in the wheels or suction inlet.
Reset Your Eufy RoboVac
Even if your RoboVac starts beeping, it’s unlikely that you will need to reset it. Most of the issues that it encounters can be easily fixed by cleaning off the RoboVac and removing any debris that has gotten stuck.
However, if your smart vacuum keeps beeping and none of the troubleshooting steps above help fix it, a reset may be your best option.
