The Eve Aqua is a convenient smart home device that lets you program your watering schedule without going outside. But if you’re experiencing issues or just looking to sell it, resetting your Aqua is a good idea.
I’ll walk you through everything you need to know in order to get your Aqua reset, including what to do if the reset doesn’t seem to be working.
Let’s get right to it!
How To Reset Eve Aqua
If you’re experiencing connectivity issues, resetting your Eve Aqua smart water controller might help.
- Ensure that your Eve Aqua has working batteries and the Child Lock is turned off in the app.
- Press the On/Off button on the device and hold it until the LED light begins to flash (about 10 seconds).
That’s really all there is to it! This will factory reset the Eve Aqua device, and it should now be ready to pair with a new network.
But sometimes, the button may not respond even when you hold it down. In these cases, there are two possible causes.
Low Battery
If the AA batteries in your Aqua don’t have enough charge, it may not be able to complete the reset process.
You may notice that the button doesn’t respond, or the LED flashes but nothing is reset.
Try installing fresh batteries into the Aqua and try the reset procedure again.
Disable Eve Aqua Child Lock
The other common issue that could prevent you from resetting your Aqua is if the child lock feature has been enabled in the Eve Home app.
This is a convenient feature that lets you disable the physical On/Off button so that children can’t accidentally turn on your watering system. If it’s activated, the button won’t respond and can’t be used to reset the device.
To disable child lock in the Even Home app, follow these steps:
- Open the Eve for HomeKit app.
- Select the Eve Aqua that you want to reset.
- Make sure that Child Lock is toggled off.
Eve Warranty And Support
If you are still experiencing issues with your Eve Aqua, it may be time to reach out to their support team.
You can submit a ticket online and they will get back to you within a day or two. You will need to provide them with the model name and serial number of the product.
Eve offers a one-year manufacturer’s warranty, so if you have had your power strip for less than a year you should be covered under the warranty period.
A quick heads-up: Eve may deduct 15% of the refund price if you return a defective Aqua device without all the parts or without the packaging. So it’s best to keep the box and all inserts around for the first year or so until you know your device doesn’t have any defects.
